(Boise) – Attorney General Lawrence Wasden says investigators arrested a Boise man Tuesday for enticement of a minor.
Wasden says investigators with his Internet Crimes Against Children unit arrested Jason Douglas West, 44, after he communicated via the Internet to meet a 15 year old after school for sex. Once West arrived at the meetup location, he was contacted by police and arrested.
West is being held in the Ada County Jail and will face 1 count of enticement of a minor.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the Internet Crimes Against Children Unit at: (208) 334-4527.
Wasden also praised law enforcement officers from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office A.C.T.I.O.N. Team, the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, and the US Marshals Greater Idaho Fugitive Task Force for assisting in the arrest.
The Idaho Attorney General’s ICAC Unit is a coalition of federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies that work with the ICAC Task Force to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the Internet to criminally exploit children.
